Handwoven pure tussar silk benarasi saree, adorned with woven motifs in kadhwa techinique coupled with a striking gold zari border and palla in kadiyal style.

*Kadhwa is a craft that involves hand-picking of each extra weft individually to create the motifs, during the weaving process. In this technique, there are no loose threads at the back of the fabric.

*Kadiyal technique helps to achieve borders and palla in colors that are in sharp contrast to that of the body, using multiple changes in warp and the weft shuttle.

I like it

I don’t know if the material should be stif and a little rough or soft when you touch it. I am from Banaras and i have a lot of Banrasi silk sarees but they are all soft. I have never bought any handwoven Tusser Silk so don’t know. It is an expensive Saree and my only issue with it is the material. I thought it will be like the other Tusser silk saree’s I bought form Amarpali but it is not. Thats my only disappointment. I like the color of this saree.
